I am a community musician, band leader and singer songwriter. I specialise in Latin American music, especially Salsa and Colombian folk, but also work in alternative anglo rock. I play percussion, drums, guitar, bass, gaitas, sing and dance. An ethnomusicologist by training, I taught at Universidad de los Andes (Bogotá) for five years, where I also carried out participatory research with Tambores de Siloé, (Cali). I now live in the UK, working at Brunel University London and carrying out CM activities in my spare time.
